A place of safety for your household when the lights go out.

A preparedness planner built for families, not for bunkers. Answer about twenty questions about your household and where you live, anywhere in the United States. Get a plan ranked for the emergencies your area actually faces, a Right Now screen for the first ten minutes of any of them, a supply list that shows what you have, what you need, and what it costs to close the gap, and a binder you can print or keep on your phone.

You are part of the pilot. Your access word is in your welcome message. Use the planner for two weeks, then tell us what helped and what got in the way on the feedback page. At launch, Dark Ark will be $25 per household, one time, with updates through the next annual refresh.

How it works

  1. Walk through the DoorAbout twenty questions: who lives with you, your state and county, how close to the coast, the kind of home and ground it sits on, medications, pets, vehicle, and how deep you want to build. You review your hazard list before the Ark opens. About five minutes.
  2. See your gapsWater, food, power, light, medical, sanitation, documents, and the home itself, sized to your household. Enter what you have. The shortage report and shopping list update as you type.
  3. Work the playbooksHurricane, tornado, wildfire and smoke, earthquake, winter storm, flood, extreme heat, tsunami, volcanic ash, shelter-in-place, power outage, cyber attack, EMP and solar storm, extended shutdown, grid-down, and camping as training. Checklists you tick off, ordered by what is most likely where you live.
  4. Print the BinderEverything in one printable document: your hazard profile and your year, roles, meeting points, shutoffs, ICE wallet cards for every person, your network, contacts, checklists, the supply status, go-bags, and the guides. Plus a one-page pocket card. Paper is the only layer with no battery.

Inside the Ark

The Watch

Sixteen scenario playbooks, ranked for your state and your ground, with a timeline from the season before to the days after and a go-or-stay verdict on each.

The Hold

Your supply targets, what you have, what is short, and the cost to close it, by tier.

The Household

Roles sized to your family, meeting points and shutoffs, your out-of-area relay, ICE cards for every person, a who-has-what map of your church or street, and six drills.

The Guides

Go-bag builder, your year month by month, your state sheet, then water, food, power, communications, documents, medical, and faith: the knowledge that needs no battery.

Built to work when nothing else does

The planner runs entirely on your device. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere. Add it to your home screen and it opens with no signal. Print the binder and it works with no battery.
